Lucky Channel Fansubs

Hi, this is Alternity your friendly webmaster and hoster of the Lucky Channel site.  I thought since all of you have been waiting so patiently that I’d update you on what’s going on with Lucky Channel.

So first the bad news.  Basically Kururu has gone MIA.  Since this happened Chou has lost all motivation and is not very interested in continueing fansubbing unless Kururu comes back, but honestly I wouldn’t hold my breath for that.  Chou also is not online much anymore.

So good news.  Before he left Chou translated KO7.  Skai and I am currently the only active members of Lucky Channel.  Skai has timed the episode already.  Sadly, since we can’t find Chou he did not upload the styling and kara for KO so we don’t have that.   I’l be able to steal the kara from previous episodes, but it looks like your going to get Alternity style subtitles and signs in this episode :).  I’m not going to give any ETA on this episode though, except as soon as I possibly can get it out.

Since chou and kururu are gone we no longer have any translators. While skai can time and I can do everything else, neither of are fluent in Japanese.  So we need translators for the future of fansubbing KO!  So PLEASE, if you speak Japanese at least semi-fluently get in contact with us so that we can continue subbing this great show!  We really want to, but unless we have a translator we cannot!  The future of Lucky Channel depends on you.

Also were probably going to drop Lucky Star for the time being, since were way behind and the other fansub groups are doing a great job.  This may change when Chou gets back.

It’s amusing how these companies managed to get your private and confidential data… Let’s hope this doesn’t hit North America, and for all of you out there to be careful.

Woo! Kururu will be back this week! Most likely. Or at the latest next week. I’m chatting with him on MSN now.
Good news then, we will continue with lucky star after he returns. However, we don’t have time to do the episodes we missed, so we’ll just continue with what’s going on.

Hi, I know that we are super late. And I’m sorry about it.
Anyways, heres Kaibutsu Oujo 4. I started this afternoon.. and it took me about 7 hours to finish it…
Kururu has just shifted house, and apparently his cable company screwed up and he won’t have internet access for around another week.
And for me, well, I felt discouraged to work alone, and somehow I got distracted this week and spent almost everyday playing TDA Dota. =(

Well, here is the HQ AVI version! (I’m having problems compressing, gimme some time for the normal version) No mkv, sorry, cause i have no idea as to how to encode mkv, it just doesn’t work for me.
Btw, we have a new timer! Skai! This is his first project. Not bad I’ld have to say. He only made a few minor errors in the part he was supposed to time. Hopefully this will help speed up our releases.

P.S: We won’t be doing lucky star FOR A WHILE (like.. around 2 episodes? at the most. i think kururu will get his internet access fixed now. he is accessing the net using his handphone bluetooth and its worse then dialup. haha) . Cause I don’t trust my translation that much, also, I might miss out a lot of minor details. Kururu and I decided that we would rather wait for him to get his things settled down, and then we continue on Lucky Star. We are NOT dropping lucky star. Just some major delays. In the meanwhile, I believe that WinD and a.f.k have released Lucky Star 5. You can get it from them. =)
